Plugin not working until page reload

    Hi there!

    We seem to be having a rather odd problem with Asset Cleanup – it doesn’t work when the page is accessed via the navigation menu or via a link whose target is set to same window/self. We need to reload the page to get Asset Cleanup to work. When the page is opened in a new tab/window, Asset Cleanup works perfectly.

    I’m no programmer unfortunately, all I can see is that there is no detectable difference in Inspector mode on the page before and after reload regarding Asset Cleanup, it shows up in both scenarios in the BODY. (Of course after reloading the page some of the other scripts disappear from the head as Asset Cleanup took effect after reloading the page).

    We’re using Qode Bridge Original (WPBakery) theme – the site is in testing phase with Coming soon mode activated, hence the absence of link to the page.

    If anyone could help us out with any tips on how to fix this problem, we’d be more than grateful ??

    Since then we have found that if we disable AJAX loading on pages using Asset Cleanup, the plugin starts working again. Is there any way to get it to work and have AJAX enabled at the same time?

    Theme support got back to us on another issue and apparently this got fixed as well, sorry for the bug report, turns out it was caused solely by the theme we’re using.

    @katatt I’m glad it got fixed! I have to admit this is one of the weirdest bug reports in a long time ?? Asset CleanUp does not use any JavaScript code that would make a difference in whether you access the page n the same window or via a new tab, plus it triggers its functions and output in the backend via PHP code which has no connection to the client-side.
