    Hi,

My Yoast SEO Snippet box is not working. In fact, I think the whole plugin is not working as I can’t access my sitemaps anymore.

My site was automatically updated to WordPress 5.0. All my plugins are updated to the latest version and the Yoast plugin is at version 9.2.1 and WPML is at version 4.1.1.

I tried to rollback to version 9.1 of Yoast but it did not change a thing.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Can you please try updating WPML to version 4.1.2 and letting us know whether this resolves the issue? WPML has more information on this bug here: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/wpml-4-1-1-on-wordpress-5-0-with-classic-editor-plugin-yoast-seo-fields-problem/

Hi, I have updated it but the issue has not changed.

Thanks in advance for your help.

We apologize for the trouble you are experiencing with our plugin. Sometimes strange behavior may be caused by a plugin or theme conflict.

Please provide the answers to the following:

    1. Have you performed a conflict check? If not, please do so. Did you discover a conflict?
    2. Does the issue occur when using a default theme with only Yoast SEO active?
    3. Does the issue occur with the current version of WordPress?
    4. Does the issue occur with the current version of Yoast SEO?
    5. Is the issue specific to a certain part of your site, like posts, products, categories, etc?
    6. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.

If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our premium email support so we can help you further.

There seems to be a conflict with WPML but even with all my plugins updated to the last version, the snippet box is still blank.

There have been new reports of a bug in WPML causing this issue with the most current version and you can read more about it here and here. WPML is working to address this. If this is the issue you are experiencing the only workaround to this currently is to install the classic editor plugin.
