After upgrading to WordPress 6.2, the plugin is no longer adding the headers to the site’s .htaccess file. Deactivating the plugin results in a 500 Internal Server Error across the entire site.

Any suggestions? Or is the plugin just in need of an update?

Hi, thanks for your topic I confirm that the plugin is compatible with 6.2 WordPress version.

I will test for your report. the 502 error after deactivation you can check if the plugin headers are present in the htaccess and write me the feedback so I can help you in the best way

    Thanks for answering so quickly!

The plugin headers were absent from .htaccess both before and after deactivation. But deactivating the plugin makes the entire site go down, so I was restoring the site from a backup each time.

It turns out, deactivating another security plugin, HideMyWP Ghost, and reactivating (which reset all of my settings for that plugin) fixed it. I then reactivated Headers Security Advanced & HSTS WP and everything seems to be working fine now.

    Sorry about that! Thanks anyway!
