I have one particular image size that is used by my theme – despite being ‘checked’ in the media settings, TinyPNG seems to miss out this particular image size entirely – it is not showing on the media library list and that particular image size is not being compressed.

Any idea why? Compression of the other image sizes is working fine.

    Thank you for contacting us.

Would it be possible for you to share that particular image with us so we can have a look?

Hi, it is an image size, so basically for every single image that I have, there will be one of those sizes. Will sending one of those images help?

It is a 270×250 image from the Customizr theme.

    Hello again,

Luckily, it is not the size that is the problem.

If I understand you correctly, the images used by your theme is not in your media library. Our plugin can only compress images that are in your library which is why the images used by your theme are not being compressed.

One solution could be to use our webpage (tinypng.com) to compress the images that are not in your media library and then add them to the theme again.

Let me know if this answers your question or if you need further assistance.

Okay I am talking about ALL the images that I upload to the media library.

One of the image sizes created is 270×250 which I use for a type of post display which was set by my theme. This image size type is in my Media Settings, and I selected the ‘check box’ for compression.

But for some reason while TinyPNG compresses all the other image sizes for say one particular image, it will miss that particular image size.

That sounds very strange. I made some images myself with the same dimensions as you used and the images are being compressed as they should.

Could you send us one of those images that are not being compressed so we can test it ourselves? You can send the image to [email protected]
