    Hi, I need some help:

I created a staging website with your plugin. I installed a plugin there that cannot be activated. I then contacted the plugin’s support and received the following response:
As a next step I would raise a ticket with them explaining that it looks like you might be having security issues blocking the use of a plugin potentially caused by an installation issue or a conflict with something else installed on this particular staging site.

Can any of you help me?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello Nicole,

that’s a very general explanation that you received which does not give any helpful insights about the reason of the reason.

    • What’s the name of the plugin you are trying to install on the staging site?
    • What’s the exact error that you get after activating the plugin?

I recommend activating the WP debug.log file and have a look into it and sending the exact errors to the plugin author (You can send them to us as well, maybe we can help either).

Please read this article to learn how to activate the debug.log:

    Hello René,

    thansk for your answer.

Yes, I see it the same way.

I’ll try to explain the matter in more detail.
I have several websites running under Flothemes plugin.
I’m now trying to gradually convert these websites to Kadence with Stylecloud.
I started with a smaller website with not as much content. There I used your plugin to create a clone of the website. I then installed Kadence on the STaging page and also activated the Stylecloud templates. Stylecloud itself has a plugin with which you can migrate parts of the website that were created with Flothemes. This plugin must be activated again with a license key. This worked wonderfully on the first small website. The second website has significantly more content. I also used your plugin there to create a staging website. When I wanted to activate the Stylecloud migration plugin with the license key, it didn’t respond. I type in the correct key, but the license just won’t activate. The developers of Stylecloud have now said that something went wrong with your plugin when creating the staging website.

    All the best

    Hi Nicole,

activate the debug.log as I mentioned above. Then try again the activation process. I am sure it will throw out a bunch of error related to something else than WP Staging.

Feel free to post the errors here, then.

FYI: I am closing the ticket here for internal processes, but you can continue writing about your issue here and we see if we can find out something.

    > I type in the correct key, but the license just won’t activate.?

Many licenses can only be activated on one site. So make sure that you deactivated the key on the other site before trying to activate it again. However, the plugin should show a proper error message then if that’s the case.

    Best
    René
