  • This works for me…

1.- Install and activate the plugin “WP Downgrade | Specific Core Version”.

2.- Go to “options” -> “WP downgrade”.
In the field “WordPress Target Version:” enter “4.9.8” versión, save and then go to the install page to downgrade to 4.9.8.

3.- Once you downgrade your WP version, try to edit a page and press the button “backend editor” even if you are already into the backend editor.

4.- Voala, the editor works again.

Hope this can help you guys.

    Cheers

    This works for me:
    1. Install the Classic Editor plugin and enable it in the General->Writing menu.
    2. Resave the settings of the WPBakery Page Builder ‘Role Manager’. Edit something and save, then reverse the edits and save again.

I can confirm wasapena’s solution worked for me as well. What’s more, the 2nd step wasn’t even necessary anymore, the 1st one did the trick. Highly appreciated!

THANK YOU @wasapena I have tried the plugin others recommended and so far nothing has worked. Your solution worked. Thank you I was starting to go in a panic mode that nothing was working.

    @wasapena

Thanks for the tip! Your description works for me too! I am very grateful!

    Hi Forum,

Maybe someone can help me. From what I see everyone has the same issue.

I work with WPBakery Page Builder 6.5 and WordPress 5.6.2. When I design the pages or posts with WPBackery there is no problem, but when I want to see the page nothing appears.

Someone else has the same issue? Or knows how to fix it?

    Many thanks to everybody!!!

When using the plugin, I have the enable jquery migrate helper running. When I bet on the Old version of Jquery 1.12.4. Only there are moments. How do I integrate this into the theme? To work without the plugin. Help please

Same thing happened to me. WP Page Builder disappeared after updating and it essentially broke my sites appearance.

I tried all listed solutions and I got no where.

I realized that my version of WP Builder came with my theme. I weant into Themes and clicked into the details of the theme. At the bottom of the page was “theme plug ins” clicked there and saw WP Builder was updated but not installed which was wierd.

Upon trying to install I got the duplicate folder error when it tried to write to my server.
I learned that the file for WP Builder has jquery in the title.
I then went to my server files and in wp-content / themes / plug ins and deleted at server level the plug in file.

Once it was gone from the server, I went back to the theme page and re started the installation of the plug in with success.

Logged out logged in and boom

    solved.

@wasapena solutions worked for me also ty

    Thanks

Adding Name and Surname to Editor user role worked for my editor. WP Bakery is showing now. Didn’t need any plugins.

I encountered this issue today, but slightly different:

I recently upgraded the theme and WP version to 5.7
after install theme and plugins, on each save of the WPbakery Visual Composer, goes to a 404 page (post.php) sometimes i got a 403 error, but i forgot how to replicate that one.

-happens on backend and frontend editors.

    i have tried without success:

    • -upgrade/downgrade WP core versions (4.98 to 5.6 and anything in between).
    • -disable 3rd party plugins and enable on-by-one.
    • -re-save permalinks (also different combos of permalinks)
    • -install the classic editor, tampering with the roles permission in the wpbakery options…
    • -update/downgrqade wpbakery plugin
    • -CREATE A NEW WEBSITE, version 5.7, default theme, just WPbakery installed, and still the same… STILL THE FCK SAME.

im going nuts guys… im running low on options.
i need some fresh mind to come a give me a little perspective.
