I have an issue with this plugin. Even if I configure everything as suggested in the topics and FAQs, the plugin doesn’t display any script in the page source (after acceptation of non necessary cookies).

I tried different solutions, even deactivating the WPSuperCache plugin or deactivating/activating your GDPR plugin, but it doesn’t work.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I found another thing that may help you resolve the issue.

I check non-necessary cookies and accept the popup but when I go back to the settings (through the “Show again” button) the non-necessary cookies are unchecked. It should keep the choice but it doesn’t.

Is this a bug or is it something happening for other causes?

    Hi @redsunsurfer,

This version has limited cache compatibility. For advanced caching support, please check out our premium version.

It seems very strange, because even without a cache plugin it doesn’t work.

Basically the plugin doesn’t print non-necessary scripts even if checked and accepted, ie. it doesn’t work as you say. I don’t think the premium version will solve the issue if actually it doesn’t work in the basic version.

    and at last, your words:

One among the most important peculiarities of our GDPR Cookie consent plugin is its ability to provide full compatibility with all the major cache plugins including:

    W3 Total Cache
    WP Rocket
    WP Super Cache
    Autoptimize
    LiteSpeed Cache
    HummingBird
It is also compatible with the server cache like:

    WP Engine
    Kinsta
    Pantheon
    Site Ground
    Varnish

In context with our GDPR Cookie consent plugin, the cache plugin works in a similar manner where it maintains a static copy of the previously requested consent preferences done by the user. That means separate static copies will be maintained for various categories like Analytics, Marketing, etc. based on the consent preferences given by each user.

Our GDPR Cookie plugin is incorporated with inbuilt cache compatibility scripts pertaining to specific cache, which runs automatically from the back end upon identifying the cache plugin. This will, in turn, essentially create a flawless functioning of your WordPress site. It works effortlessly even without having the need for the user to explicitly make any additional configurations.

    Hi @redsunsurfer,

This wording you quoted from the article in our Website documentation is about the premium version and we have thousands of users using our plugin with different caching implementation.

Coming back to your issue, as you have pointed out yourself, the reason why the non-necessary cookies are unchecked for you even after accepting is that its value is being loaded from cache. FYI, we store the consent and category preference in cookies with values YES or NO.

We checked your site now and we can see the WP Super Cache is enabled(check page source). If you say the issue still persists after disabling the caching plugin, chances are you have caching enabled at your server level. Please check these.

Rest assured we are planning on a cache compatible update release for the free version too soon.
