Hi arnohist,
I think there may have been a bit of a miscommunication and I sincerely apologize that we gave you the impression that we did not know what caused your issue. Our plugin was designed to work with the median-sized WordPress site running on average shared hosting. As you found, in cases where WordPress installations do not meet the criteria to use our plugin, we do offer a much more reliable SFTP & MySQL (direct or ssh) product line that supports over 75,000 customers at 99.999% reliability levels, and backs sites up as large as 100GB.
We take the business of backing up your website very seriously and in the case where our plugin is not a good fit, we want to be able to quickly help customers move to a solution that does not depend as much on the size of their website or their underlying host.
If you encounter issues in the future with configuring your backup using either the plugin or our SFTP/MySQL products, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team and ask for me. We would be more than happy to assist you or any other customer with the configuration process to make it as smooth and pain-free as possible.
Jonathan
