    Hi,

I’m not sure what could cause it. The plugin’s code comes after the GA code, so that’s good. I don’t think that you are using the SEO for WordPress plugin and it looks like (as far as I can see) the plugins settings are all OK.

What you could try is the get the plugin out of W3 Total Cache or the cdn to see if that would change anything.

Other than that I couldn’t see anything strange after my quick look.

Please let me know if you could fix it.

    Hi,

I’ve added the plugin today to my blog. May I know when should expect to see some results?

    Thanks for help.

Straight away, but tomorrow it will be clearer to see in the stats.

Well it’s been 8 hrs and I still don’t see any change. Here’s a link to my blog: https://goo.gl/Qh76JM

Please check and let me know if you see something that might be wrong.

    Appreciate your help!

Maybe you should just give it a bit of time. I’d also recommend using analytics.js instead of ga.js.

Let me know in a day or two if it works.

Hey, apologies. Just checked the stats and it’s really hard to tell. It’s up and down really. For example yesterday bounce rate was at just over 53%. There are periods where it keeps well below 30% and there are spikes of up to above 60%.

One can argue this is natural but before the problem started it rarely exceeded 15% so comparing the before and after one can say the problem persists.

Especially that I trigger lookup every 10 secs and scroll counts as action..

    Any thoughts?

Hi. I don’t know about similar websites, but I can imagine that people click on a link when they are on your website. So, my feeling is that the bounce rate should be low, at least below 20%.

There are a couple of things I am thinking about.
Have you tried to get the plugin out of the cdn folder and just have it in the www….? I have never tested the plugin this way and it also shouldn’t matter, because the plugin shows on your site, but just too rule it out.
Do you advertise for your website with Adwords or another way and you get an audience that was never interested in your site? I have seen this with campaigns; people just go to the landing page and are out again. Pages per visit go down and the bounce rate up.
On days where your have the bounce rate spikes do you get also spikes in visits from one IP or city/area or one user agent? I have one website where the bounce rate used to be below 10%. This month more than 45% are Russians going for the login page and the bounce rate with them is 100%. My bounce rate went up to an average of 69%… Thanks to Russia.

Other than this I am a bit stuck. The plugin works for many and I don’t understand why it shouldn’t work for your website.
