Hello,

we are facing some issues with our customer’s website currently running the latest version of YOAST plugin.

The problem appears on backoffice edit page of articles/posts, since the content is not loading properly as shown below.

We also have a lot of errors in our JS console.

We already tried to uninstall and reinstall the plugin again but no success at all, still same issues there.

We found something strange in the YOAST settings as well as shown below

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.

Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘ReplacementVariableEditor)
Your screenshot doesn’t show what page you’re on in the plugin settings UI. Can you let me know what post type or taxonomy it was?

Hello,

Ok, so we try with the suggested plugin to check whether it is a compatibility issue or not.

Regarding the other error “(reading ‘ReplacementVariableEditor)“, it shows on several type of taxonomy setting sections, both article and post’s for instance

Update after testing the website with troubleshooting mode of the indicated plugin:

Still experiencing the same issue with only the default WP theme and the YOAST plugin active. Still facing the same issue of blank module on page edit and same console errors.

So it appears not to be a compatibility related issue.
