    Hi there,

Just installed and run the plugin which returned no broken links. The post in question has 2 broken links. Having had a quick look I can see many more 404’s within posts. Why are these not being picked up? I’m running WP 5.93.

    Thanks,

    Dave

    Hi @riflebird

    I hope you’re well today!

If you check list on “Tools -> Broken Links” page – it’s not listing these links at all (doesn’t detect them) or it does show them but marks them as not broken?

If it doesn’t detect them and, actually, doesn’t detect any links then please go to “Settings > Link Checker” page and check following settings:

    1. in “Look for links in” tab make sure that all “content types” that you want to be checked for links (like “posts”, “pages” and so on) and all statuses are checked; for example, if this link is on “page” and “page” is not checked there – it won’t be scanned and detected

    2. in “Which Links to Check” section make sure that at least “HTML links” and “Plaintext URLs” options are checked

    3. in “Advanced” section make sure that at least one of the options for “Link monitor” option are checked

The save settings and after that on the same “Advanced” tab use “Force recheck” option. It should re-scan site for links and detect them.

If it still doesn’t, please do as follows:

    – install and enable free WP Crontrol plugin
    – go to “Tools -> Cron Events” in your site’s back-end
    – type in “blc_” in searchbox and see what is found – there should be three events returned so let me know, please, what are they and if any of them are marked as overdue

    – also please let us know if you are using any page builder and/or cache on site and if yes, what are they.

    Kind regards,
    Adam
