• The only way I can send email from my WordPress installation is using SMTP mailer, which was fiddly to set up. WP-DB-Backup doesn’t appear to use this and emailed or scheduled backups fail to be sent.

I see related topics. There is a suggestion to sign-up to Mailjet. OK, but how do I integrate that with the plugin, I have no desire to reroute my existing mail, which works, through a different service.

    Thanks

  • Hello! Greg from Mailjet here. Sorry but our WordPress plugin is overwriting the SMTP settings of WordPress so all mails go through them.

If you want to route only the mails from a certain plugin through a different SMTP the only way is to fork and modify the plugin itself to not use the WordPress default settings but some custom settings, which implies to do watch for any modifications manually.

Thanks for your reply Greg but I don’t use Mailjet so your answer doesn’t apply.
