• Some of the contributors are uploading large images e.g. 8MB 4000×3000. I’ve installed this plugin in an attempt to force resizing down to 1200 x 800 but all my tests this morning shows that the images are not being resized.

    I am running WP 5.3 and PHP 7.2 and the resources on the server are:
    upload_max_filesize = 256M
    post_max_size = 256M
    memory_limit = 512M

    Can you tell me how to resolve this?

    Thanks
    Terry

    Hi @terryally,

    On our tests the plugin is working correctly. Would it be possible to get temporary admin access to your site so we can check and see what is going on? You can send us the credentials using this contact form.

    Cheers!

    Hi Gerard,

    Further to our offline communications, in which I asked you to hold on sending to your developers until my server company has carried out more checks to eliminate the server as an issue, they’ve carried out exhaustive checks and kept an eye on the error logs and have turned up no errors when using your plugin.

    If it is helpful this is the information from the Site Health report. In the meantime Merry Christmas to the team and I’ll pick this up next year.

    Hi Terry,

    Thanks for this. I’ll forward this to our team and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

    Merry Christmas to you too ??

    @terryally and @sixaxis,

    Try installing the PHP extension ‘php-gd’. That resolved my issue of the plugin not resizing the images.

    Thank you and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    Hi Gerard,

    That was one of the things that was checked first. GD is installed on the server. I can send you detailed server specs if you think that might help?
