I made sure the plugin had the current version (2.5.16). I’m using WP Theme Panoramic. When I click on “Edit With Elementor, the page says “Loading” forever. I tried a refresh and tried shutting down WP and reopening, same result. HELP!!

  • Hi. Please see the guide at https://docs.elementor.com/article/184-cant-edit-with-elementor, specifically the section that begins with “My Page is Gray – Endless Loading”.

Thanks a lot. It was a plugin that was causing my problem. I have another question. Do you know if this plugin will let me overlay text on a image that I can upload in the library?

Sort of, yes. Give a column or section a background image of your image, and then drag a Heading widget onto the column, and voilà, you have text on an image.

    Hi cavalierlife,
Sorry to bother you again. I have 2 problems with my page.
    1. How do I get rid of the middle section? I deleted my work and started over again. That is the bottom section.

    2. I can’t get my text to overlay on the cross. I tried to add the cross first and last. Could you help me pleas?

    Thanks,

To get rid of the middle column, right-click the dark gray column icon in the upper left of that column, and select Delete from the options presented.

The text in the first column does overlay the large cross that is the background of the column. If you are trying to get the text overlay the small cross, that won’t be possible, or at least not without doing something completely different. But before I head down that road, I’d like to be sure what it is you are trying to do.

    Hi,
I just tried Visual Composer. I realized Elementor is more user friendly. You asked if you could see what I’m trying to do. Here is the link. I was thinking if I was to use the Text Editor and use a <div> and use a inline styling background code that would do it. But I would have to do it 2X because of the 2 columns. That woudn’t work.

The link shows two columns of text with the text wrapping around the crosses. Is that what you mean? That’s not what I would describe as text overlaying the cross. I would call that wrapping around the cross. Wrapping around is just accomplished by inserting an image into the text editor widget, before the text, and then clicking on the image, which gives you the option to then click on a pencil icon to edit the image. Now, while editing the image, tell it to left or right align the image with the text.

    Hi,
Originally I didn’t want the 2 crosses in the 2 columns. I wanted a big cross in the background so I could put the columns on the big cross. Think of a big watermark. I realized I couldn’t, so that’s why I put the crosses in the columns. Does that make senses? Does the Pro version have this?

The Pro version can do both of those. I’ve already given instructions for each but I’ll restate them here:

    1. Text on top of an image: Give a column or section a background image of your image, and then drag a Heading widget onto the column, and voilà, you have text on an image.

    2. Text wrapping around an image: Insert an image into the text editor widget, before the text, and then clicking on the image, which gives you the option to then click on a pencil icon to edit the image. Now, while editing the image, tell it to left or right align the image with the text.
