Hello. My live site is on my domain https://mydomain.com. I also have a private dev site on a sub-directory: https://mydomain.com/dev. I have BackWPUp installed on both to take periodic backups. It has worked relatively smoothly for several years. Recently it has begun to exhibit an issue. When it takes a new backup, it doesn’t seem to delete the old backups. On each site, I have a backup job created in BackWPUp. Each job is set to backup to my Dropbox account, to a unique folder, and keep only one file (screenshots). In the past, this has ensured that when a new backup is added to the Dropbox folder, all other backup files in the folder are deleted. This is the desired behavior. But recently, that deletion does not occur. In the Drobpox folder for my dev site there are 4 backup files, and in my live site there are 3 backup files (screenshots). My Dropbox account is now at capacity because of this. How can I resolve it?

Also, I’m not sure if this is related, but on each site, if I open Dashboard–>BackWPUp–>Backups, it is empty (screenshots).

    Thanks.

    Hi @cag8f
Which version of BWU did you running now?
Also, could you please try to test by create a new Dropbox job backup to Dropbox and check if the old files got removed? ( to config how many files to keep, you can set in the job setting )

    Version 3.6.10 on both sites.

OK. I disabled each of my existing josb, deleted all existing backup files from Dropbox, and created a new job on each site (dev and live). I configured each to save to its own folder, and to keep only 1 file in the folder. It should run every day. I will update you in a few days.

@duongcuong96 Thanks for the check-in. The test is still ongoing. Give me another week to confirm, and I’ll report back here.

    Thanks.

@duongcuong96 I can confirm that after creating new jobs, the issue is now gone. So any ideas why this occurred, and how I can prevent it from occurring in the future?
