    Hi –

The plugin seems to be working for some calculations, but is WAY OFF on others.

    One example is this product:

    https://djdeals.com/product/astera-ax1-set-pixeltube-pack/

    Weight 65 lbs
    Dimensions 45 x 18 x 7 in

    The cart shows these amounts:

    Ground (UPS): $61.11
    2nd Day Air (UPS): $138.11
    Next Day Air (UPS): $199.51

UPS says it should be these amounts:

    2nd Day Air – $871.57
    Next Day Air – $1,092

No matter how many times we increase the weight, or we increase the dimensions to get the rates in the cart to match what UPS quoted us, the plug refuses to increase the rates int he cart above those numbers. They never change.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @joyryde,

    No worries.
We will check it out. Have you switched off the plugin?

On quickly checking the rates for a 65 lbs item with those dimensions I get a rate that is almost matching with those from the plugin. If you can let me know the destination, I can show you that the rates are coming correct. for your convenience, I have attached a screenshot. Kindly check this and confirm to us : https://ibb.co/iOkqRJ

If they are still not matching, just let us know. We will surely help you.

The plugin is still active because we still need to use it.

The weight and dimensions for that SKU are:

    Weight 95 lbs
    Dimensions 85 x 45 x 30 in

If I adjust any of those numbers up, nothing changes in the cart. The vendor quoted us 2nd Day Air – $871.57 and Next Day Air – $1,092, so we are trying to adjust the weight and dimensions up so that it matches that quote from UPS. Problem is, it never goes above the same rates as below:

    Ground (UPS): $61.11
    2nd Day Air (UPS): $138.11
    Next Day Air (UPS): $199.51

    Hi @joyryde,

The earlier package did not categorise as freight. However, this one is definitely freight.

Unfortunately, the basic version of the plugin is not suitable for calculation of freight. It fetches real time rates from the API. The premium version has the capability to calculate freight rates. Hope I was able to answer your query.

Hi, we do not offer freight. The cart needs to calculate next day air or 2 day air. The totals should be what was quoted by UPS, which is nearly $1000 more than what the plugin quotes.

    Hi @joyryde,

This shipment automatically classifies as a freight shipment. If you check the screenshot that i have attached of the UPS calculator, you can see it that they are not accepting this as normal shipment.

Now with regards to the rates that you are telling, it seems that on your case, the package is divided into multiple packages and then the rates is calculated.
Can you please show me the quotation of UPS rates via a screenshot so that we can see the package info in it and check.

Do not worry. We will resolve the issue. If these aspects don’t work, we will approach UPS directly and ask them.

I’m still waiting for the manufacturer to get back to me with the weight and dimesions of the product so that we can try to fix this, but today we got another order where the plugin undercharged the buyer.

    The product has exact weight and dimensions of 10 x 6 x 4 – 2lbs

The cart charged him $38.98 via 2nd Day Air (UPS)

We have discounted rates with UPS and even with our discounts, this item cost $40.66 to ship WITHOUT insurance. Insuring it would have cost even more.

I think that the plugin might need a setting to add 10% (or any value) to every calculation as it’s causing us to lose money on every sale.

    Hi @joyryde,

For this package, can you let me know the Shipper and destination address?
I will immediately check this in UPS calculator and get back after you provide the info for the same.

    Shipped from 33139 to 94960

    Hi @joyryde,

    Thanks for that.

I checked the UPS price calculator and I am getting the same rate for UPS 2nd Day Air.Hence, I can conclude that the rates are correct.
For your convenience, I have attached the following screenshots :

Here’s what we paid UPS with our discount, and WITHOUT insurance. The calculation by the plugin cost us money. It should be charging the buyers the UPS Counter Rates but it appears to be charging them discounted rates that are even less than we pay UPS for Negotiated Rates.

And here are the box weights and dimensions for this product:

    https://djdeals.com/product/astera-ax1-set-pixeltube-pack/

    Box 1: 44 x 11 x 6 @ 30lbs
    Box 2: 46 x 18 x 7 @ 38lbs
    Box 3: 22 x 11 x 7 @ 14lbs
    Box 4: 11 x 11 x 5 @ 4lbs

    Hi @joyryde,

I can see that the rates are coming correct. For example, I have attached a screenshot to show you the rates from UPS calculator : https://ibb.co/nfRMk8

This is what is being returned from the plugin as earlier .
