    Hi

Big fan of your plugin, however recently it stopped working.

I can see our reviews and summary in the dashboard. And if I enable dummy data that shows that on the page. But our own data shows nothing.

We’re using Elementor Pro, latest version, and have it added as a widget. We’re on latest WP version.

    Any ideas, please?

    Best regards,
    Markus

PS I tried the Classic Widget Plugin, but no change.
PPS It doesn’t seem to load any code for this widget. We have normally the ratings displayd over the hero and also in the footer under the heading “Google Reviews”

@merdman2 Yes, I do have a couple ideas:

    1. Do you have billing enabled for your Google Cloud account? This will need to be set in order to receive repeated API requests.
    2. Is the current Place ID a specific location and not an area? Only single locations will return any data – so if this has changed recently, ensure your business uses a specific location and not a Service Area
    3. Have you checked the Retrieved Data for clues, if it returns an error, please paste this in here and I’ll be able to assist further.

@merdman2 It you’re using the widget, please ensure you’re using the current version of the plugin, not the one before as there was a display issue with this one.

Thanks for getting back to me.

    1. Yes, billing is enabled and always was – we use the same account for several APIs
    2. It’s a specific area – single business. Thus has not changed in 3 years.
    3. Under the Review tab of the App it shows all latest reviews and correct total review numbers. It says latest pull was at 10 Aug 7:26 – that’s only a couple of minutes ago.

Version of the plugin is 3.36.

As I said – it shows the demo data, but not our data in the frontend. But backend looks fine.

@merdman2 If you’ve updated recently and using a caching service, please clear the Page Cache. It may have stored the output from an earlier version.

If this doesn’t work, please drop me an email at wordpress dash plugins at designextreme dot com.

Unfortunately I tried the cache already also – it didn’t help. I’ll send you an email now.

    @designextreme My email bounced. I double checked spelling. I found another one on your website c o n t a c t @ etc. I forwarded it to there.

I have one suspicion: When you write “Retrieved Data” – is that an actual tab? I don’t have a field or this tab. I thought you were looking for the Reviews tab.

I cleared the cache of the plugin with the button under advanced, but no change.

@merdman2 Your issues sounds similar to another uncommon issue that I’m fixing at the moment. I have your email now and I’ll sent a reply there shortly with some further steps.

@merdman2 I’ve resolved the issue and implementing some changes to the next release of the plugin.

There was an inconsistency with the handling of the Places API data – all results and just the valid version results. I have made some alterations in the code that is more consistent and runs using same settings as yours.

I will add this same consistent approach to the upcoming release so others will not miss the “Retrieved data” tab like you experienced.

Once this is ready to download, you can apply it to your production website and, if needed, click to clear the cache to apply these changes.
