[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Wondering how to have a single image open up to a gallery

Seems simple, but I don’t quite see the function to pull it off. The preview image for the gallery doesn’t quite do it.
I’m looking to have a single image that when clicks opens up to the lightbox. Anyone know how to get this to work?
