[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Where can i find this variable declarations

i see that this variable $ngg_options is used across the plugins code.
Does anyone know where is it declared initially?
I look at nggallery.php, install.php, nggfunctions.php and other files but i could not find where it is declared.thank you,
