  • I just started having this same problem 3 weeks ago. It was working fine before. I have confirmed that the files have uploaded to the folders on the FTP, but the NEXTgen gallery shows no files uploaded on my dashboard. It appears that it is not generating the thumnails for the photos as well. Hopefully someone can help. We even upgraded to new wordpress and nextgen gallery version.

NextGen appears to not work properly — at least in multisite — since 3.0. I have this exact issue. It’s discussed in other threads:

    (not resolved)

This helped my post-3.0 blogs. Maybe it will help others that are running into issues with it? Using in a multisite environment, Plug-in activated individually, not site wide.

Try deactivating NextGen and exiting the Dashboard.
Go back in and reactivate it.
Check your individual NextGen options to make sure the path is correct
Try creating a new gallery, or uploading a zip file of images.

It should upload the images and write to the database.

The onboard flash uploader isn’t working for me (was before) still looking into that.

Hello, I get the same problem. I’m running on WP 3.0.3. When I try to upload and during the upload process, every image that it is attempting to upload displays the following error message “ERROR HTTP ERROR : the file name : 500.

After that, at the top of the screen is says that the gallery displays no images and no images were uploaded.
