[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Thumbnails not linking to images after upgrade to WordPress 3

I have a similar issue – no thumbnails generaly on the site, although after clicking the images works. But as far as I know – no solution for now ??

After more experimenting I think its the image browser thats not working.

The carousel style gallery seems to use the image browser so thats not working either!

Hope someone knows how to fix this – really need help…

Had same issue – 404 Not Found.

Navigate to Permalinks and simply click Update – this step is denoted on the NextGen settings page. This seemed to fix the issue for me.

I also added a trailing slash before the default gallery directory in the NextGen admin area – don’t know which of these steps fixed it.

/wp-content/gallery/

Thanks jasonvincik it was the update permalinks that fixed it.

I had spent hours on these forums and on google looking for a solution to this.

Don’t suppose you know why the previous/next arrowhead navigation images are only displaying the top half of the arrowhead shape in Carousel style galleries?

Im having the same problem now after upgrading to WP3.

You said updating the Permalinks in wordpress resolved the issue. This doesnt seem to work for me. can I ask the steps you took (exactly what to click etc.) to fix.

all my previous galleries are working – just not any i create now in WP3.

Hi Retnuh, I just went to permalinks in the overall wordpress settings and clicked update. That was it – all thumbnail links started working again.

I have not actually made any new galleries yet since I updated to wordpress 3. I’ll do this in the next couple of days and let you know if they work ok

I’ve already reinstalled NextGEN (for cleanliness) but I still can’t fix it upon updating permalinks. I’m using /%category%/%postname%/ upon custom structure.

What could be wrong? ??

I have the latest WP and Nextgen updates, and i’ve found that permalinks don’t fully work if you have %category% in your permalink structure..

Try removing %category% from your structure in Settings -> Permalinks and see if that helps.
