[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Tamplate modification not showing the correct image for each thumbnail

I am trying to create a custom template for my gallery and I would like to use an inline display so when the image is clicked on it shows some content in the Lightbox.

I am trying to take <?php echo $image->imageURL ?> and use it in an inline div but it will only render the first picture out of the gallery.

Anyone know how I can get it to render the appropriate photo for each themnail while using this inline content?
