    I’m sorry but we really wouldn’t be able to help with mapxpress.net as it doesn’t appear to be a WordPress plugin or even licensed under GPL. It sounds like the image you are creating a thumbnail of is quite large and could be causing the issue with

    The thumbnail is slow to load and places an white box that is drawn in from top to bottom.

    You will want to make sure that your image is optimized before you upload it. I would recommend resizing the image to whatever you want the final full size image to be on the site, then uploading it.

    The website is a wp site using catalyst theme. The pop-up uses nextgen gallery. I thought I was posting on to the nextgen forum.

    The images are only 40 – 80 KB already optimized smaller than I’d like.
