[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Slideshow doesnt work with last uptdate

  • Hello,
    I’ve been using Next Gen Gallery slideshow widget for two months.
    Everything goes ok ??

    But, with last update of Next Gen Gallery, slideshow doesn’t work.
    It allways says:
    Get the Flash Player to see the slideshow.
    But I have it installed and I tried to view this slideshow in several computers with allways same message.

  • I just checked inside the plugin php code: it checks different directories, I tried all of your methods but they did not work for me.
    I saw the plugin also searches into the media library dir, then I uploaded the imagerotator.swf file via the WP media library uploader. then I went to the Next gen gallery options page and search for the plugin. That’s OK!!

    I had a problem with the imagerotator and I followed the advise of saving the settings and hey presto! it worked.

    I have a problem with the image rotator .. It shows the flash file .. but not the pictures .What should I do ?

    you might need to chmod imagerotator.php to 755

    FYI
    Just wanted to let you know that I spend hours and hours read the forms and nothing seems to work.
    I then realized I was using Google Chrome – I tested in Firefox and IE and it works perfectly.
    So check your browsers!!!

    Maybe it be useful for somebody:
    if you change in general options you domain this way:
    old: mysite.com
    new: www.mysite.com
    you should change path to imagerotator.swf:
    https://www.mysite.com/wp-contents/uploads/imagerotator.swf

    @nalaimo: It works fine on Safari as well – both versions for Mac and PC.

    1.Go to NextGen Gallery Option page
    2.Click Slideshow Tab
    3.Change the Path to the Imagerotator (URL): to “https://www.yourdomain.com/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/imagerotator.swf” replace your domain.com with your domain
    4.Saves Changes (DO NOT click search now)
    5.Done

    I have upload the imagerotatore.swf directly in
    https://www.yourdomain.com/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/imagerotator.swf

    Work fine now !
