• Hi,

I have recently migrated wordpress and Nextgen gallery.
    wordpress 2.3.1 with nggallery 0.8
    TO
    wordpress 2.6.2 with nggallery 0.99.1
Everything works fantastic except the slideshow that only works using IE and not Firefox, which is a bumma because 80% of the readers of my blog use Firefox 2 or 3.

Any idea why the slideshow does not work with Firefox? Does anyone have and resolve this issue?
By the way I am using the cutline-3-column-split-11 theme and my website is: biboudamsdownunder.com

    Thanks for your help
    Dams

  • Hi, I had the same problem. This is what worked for me:

If you have access to your own ‘cpanel’, look for the ‘Configure HotLink Protection’ option. Depending on your environment check out the following options:

    URLs to allow access::
    https://yourdomain
    https://www.yourdomain
If you have other trusted sites, add their URLs here.

Block direct access for these extensions (separate by commas):
    jpg,jpeg,gif,png,bmp

Allow direct requests (ie. entering the url to an image in your browser)Check the box YES!

    Redirect request to this URL:
    Left blank.

NOTE: The “Allow direct requests” checkbox must be checked when using HotLink Protection for files that you wish to be viewed in QuickTime (Mac Users) by your site’s visitors.

    I hope this helps.

    ??

and if this is your localhost…how would I enact these settings in the LAMP environment?
