[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery Sidebar Widget] Activation error

I’m getting the following error when attempting to activate this plug-in.

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /home/content/b/l/a/blanklogo/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/ngg-sidebar-widget.php on line 31

I have no idea if this is something I did? If you have any thoughts on a solution, please let me know.
