• Hi,

first: great plugin. I love it.

So, here is my problem. I’ve uploaded some pictures, which are named like this:

    picture-1.jpg
    picture-2.jpg

    picture-10.jpg
    picture-11.jpg

so far so good. But apparently the files are ordered not naturally, but by alphabet, which means the order is:

    picture-1.jpg
    picture-10.jpg
    picture-11.jpg
    picture-2.jpg
    picture-3.jpg

and so on. Ok, this could be solved with a better filename, but I’ve seen no possibiliy to do that in nextgen gallery itself. And I don’t really want to mess around in the mysql-db and in the filesystem to fix this. Any idea?

    regards
    matthias

  • All you should have to do is rename the files on your server using FTP/file management. They need to be double digits, 01 02 03 etc to appear in the proper order.

After you do that, you’ll have to scan the folder for new images, in which case it will show duplicates, and you’ll have to delete the old ones.

I agree, that this is a solution to solve it now, but maybe alex rabe should consider to make it more convenient for people to organize their pictures. Thanks for your solution.
