[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Random slideshow?!

Any ideas on this? I also need to figure out how to do this, or find an alternative plugin that does this?

I know it is possible to randomise the SLideshow, but i did not find anything for the random gallery pictures. Good question!

I wish it was that simple, that doesn’t work for me, I was under the impression the shuffle mode only works when you have the slideshow flash based. I am looking for something that isn’t flash based. Thanks

Yes. I must have a random slideshow without Flash. If I install JJ NextGen JQuery Cycle I can have random, but I lose the ability to change the background color. I still can’t figure out image alignment either – won’t align to middle. Only to top. Anybody recommend a slideshow plugin that allows for full CSS changes and has random?

There is a way, although it is REALLY hacky.

If you’ve messed around with this before, you’ll notice there is a random slideshow option in widget form. All I did was put that into the sidebar, load my page, and copy the code and used that where I needed to. The code can be found here: https://pastebin.com/k0d9gBJN

Thanks dmglouis, but unless I can use it universally (one fix for all slideshows), it’s pretty hopeless. Seems like this should be an easy thing….
