[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] plugin not showing up?

Hi
I am working on my local Xampp server. i am running it on OS X 10.5.8
I downloaded the plugin and added it to my plugin folder. However it is not showing up in my widgets, so I am unable to activate or use it. Can anyone help please?
