When I’m viewing an image in the Fancybox, the background is grayed out to obscure it a bit. I love this feature, and I would love for the background to get even whiter so it’s even more obscured. I found all of the image files in ‘mywebsite\wp-content\plugins\nextgen-gallery-optimizer\fancybox’ and I tried editing the png files in Photoshop and re-uploading them. I was able to change the color of the ‘close’, ‘next’ and ‘previous’ icons by editing ‘fancybox.png’, but I can’t seem to figure out how to edit any of the other pngs so that the background gets whiter. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Hi rddimattia,

Thanks for using NextGEN Gallery Optimizer, and congrats on your customizations!

I believe you’re looking for Fancybox’s overlay transparency function, which is set using jQuery rather than images.

If you open up nextgen-optimizer-scripts-and-styles.php, at the top you’ll find a function called “fancybox inline js”. In this function, simply change the value of “overlayOpacity” to something more appropriate. Its values range from 0-1, with the default being 0.3 and 1 being a solid color…in your case, white.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers,
    Mark.
