After doing some research on the Net, I cannot seem to find how to do this.
I have page that shows an album with three galleries in it.
When I click on a gallery it loads into a new page.

What I WANT is to click on a gallery from the album page and just open a modal window with the gallery in it for display. I do not want to go to a gallery specific page to view the pics.

    Am I missing a setting?

Thanks if anyone takes time to discuss this ??

  • No, NGG does not default that kind of functionality. You’ll need to create your own templates.

Well at least it tells me that I was not overlooking something simple.
So now I will just play with adding a REL link to the outputted NGG links in the NGG code.
If thickbox or another modal controller is there, then it should automatically load into the modal like I want.

    **update**
I have gotten NextGen links to call a modal box but I need to make the plugin actually work in that modal box.

Trying to fins all the files i need to include to make NextGen work. I wonder if I have to include the Loop?

No, I think (as I recall from when I was doing this project) that I just scrapped the idea and went another route.

I am not 100% sure what I was trying to do but if I would so back and try to make next gen work in a Modal I would try to either use and iFrame (for the Modal window) and call the WP loop with the post or page ID and run the next gen that way.

I am sorry that I don’t have a nice swath of code to paste here for you to get your idea to work ??
