[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] No Thumbnails Being Created

    I upgraded to the latest version of NG Gallery and the thumbnails are not being created. It hangs after the 100% and does not close nor state it was successful.

    I looked at my thumbs directory and there was nothing there. The permissions are set to 777 and I even disabled all other plug-ins but still the same. Any direction or suggestions would be appreciated for this excellent plug-in.

    I am having this exact same issue. Since this happened after using the Gallery only a few times I even tried deleting the plugin and contents all together and reinstalling to start over, but it still doesn’t work.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Every now and than, a few thumbnails are being created. It’s driving me crazy/mad. In IE I get an AJAX error, but not in FF/Chrome. Uploading images works fine, but those damn thumbnails. I’ll be searching for an alternative plugin this weekend, any suggestions?

    I had the same problem. My pictures were very large. Selected NGG to resize them, 800x600pix default. Still didn’t work. So I resized all the pictures in Photoshop to roughly the same dimensions. Worked beautifully. Now I just have to figure out how to link the gallery to my post!

    A workaround I performed was to actually create the thumbnails and upload them to the folder. It was a temporary fix until it can be properly addressed.

    Unfortunately, I’m building a website for one of my customers, so I can ‘t expect them to create all thumbnails ??

    The problem is still not solved, is it? ??

    I haven’t use the plugin for a while now, i’ll test it again for the next website.

    For now I have been using version 1.6 and re-sizing option and thumbnails are created well. Should I update to the newest version though, the problem would come back.

    I had the same problem, i uploaded 60 pics and only the first 10 thumps were created, i solved by selecting fewer pics and then created new thumps. ihope this could help.

    I have this problem and have followed all the advice I can find here and elsewhere. The permissions are set correctly, PHP memory has been increased to 64Mb. I still can’t get even one thumbnail to generate. The thumbnail process seems to complete but the dialogue box just sits on screen and does nothing. Nextgen Gallery is rather useless without the thumbnail generation so I’m really keen to get this fixed. Thanks
