• I have been having some issues with Slideshow integation.

It is not a Weaver issue which is the template I am using.
If you switched to Twenty Ten you get with identical results.

    See: https://www.veg2table.com/2011/thunderbirds-are-go/

[slideshow id=1] <- this NextGen shortcode does not work

The other versions work from the NG insert tool work
    [imagebrowser id=1]
    [nggallery id=1]

Bruce the developer of Weaver looked at the output, and he tells me the [slideshow] version is generating an error message in the output code:

    <!– Slide.com error: provide id, w, h –>

Don’t know what that means, but something is happening – just not what you want.

Looking at https://nextgen-gallery.com/slideshow/ I thought it maybe that the NG tool is expecting the default size to be plugged in so I even tested something like [slideshow id=1 w=300 h=100] it still did not work.

Slideshow seems broken… BUT from it works if accessed from [nggallery id=1 template=caption ] where it pops up
    [Show as slideshow]

    Any ideas?

    best regards

    Peter

May have posted this in the wrong area?

    I’m having the same problem.
    [nggallery id=27] doesn’t work.

When you click on the SlideSow link it sends you to a peculiar URL
    https://www.mysite.com/general/rallye-glenwood-springs/nggallery/slideshow
which of course doesn’t exist and you end up with a 404 error

Update – It may be working differently than I expected. The gallery is displaying within the page it was launched from but I was expecting a new page to open with only the slideshow. Also the images are too big to fit properly in that space so it scrunches them up. Guess I better go back and read through the documentation again. It’s been a while…

Ummm I wonder what is different between my site and Alex’s?

    This post initially appeared on:
    https://alexrabe.de/forums/

Within my post I included the NextGen Links that did not work like:
[slideshow id=1] <- this NextGen shortcode does not work

… and when they appeared on Alex’s site the short code worked perfectly pulling in I guess what was his gallery 1. I see lots of posts about [ slideshow id=1 ] not working, which makes me think its probably something in my set up. Any ideas where I should be looking?

    PB
