[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Nextgen not working after upgrading to wordpress 3.4

Just for the record, I have just upgraded to WP 3.4 and ran into the same problem. WP 3.4 seems to have created issues for theme developers and most likely for plugin developers as well, as Nextgen Gallery users like us are now finding out. It’s my first time to have a problem with Nextgen Gallery. Let’s hope Alex Rabe can whip up a fix for this soon. Otherwise we’ll have to look for other options.

Mine is broken as well. My gallery isn’t showing all 20 images, just 11. I’m sure there will be a bug fix soon. ??

When i use [nggallery id=x], it does display the images as gallery but if i use [album id=x], it does display the galleries inside the album, but when i click the gallery thumbnail, it does not display the images on that gallery.

I noticed this bug when i upgraded to WP 3.4.

Pls. FIX bug this ASAP.

I’ve updated the issue in the NextGen file: ngg-config.php

from:

require_once( WP_LOAD_PATH . ‘wp-load.php’);

to:

require_once( WP_LOAD_PATH . ‘wp-admin/admin.php’);

A partial correction re: my earlier post about Nextgen Gallery not working — I had my gallery set to slideshow. It appears that it is only the slideshow setting that is not working in my case after upgrading to WP 3.4. The standard setting, i.e. [nggallery id=x], which I have now set as my gallery default, works fine with WP 3.4. BTW, I am using Headway Themes 3.2. I wonder if if the glitch is theme- or WP 3.4-related. Is anyone else having a similar problem with the slideshow feature?

I’m having issues with NextGen Gallery, with our without slideshow setting.

My error occurs when attempting to upload images (Flash and Non-Flash options). The error after uploading an image prevents me from seeing the Admin screens. I have to manually go back to /wp-admin/ in order to continue working.

I am able to get images and galleries to appear on the pages, but the NextGen error makes this process very slow and difficult with WP 3.4

After updating to WP 3.4 nggallery display the picture on a static page, that means, if i click on a thumbnail, tis will be displayed on a new page.

fix it for me! Finally after a few weeks of not being to update the gallery I’m back on track.

When pressing Add new post, i can’t find the Next gen Button on the right side to add a gallery

I just installed NextGEN Gallery after the upgrade to wp 3.4 and I get an error every time I try to upload an image. The error reads:

ERROR: drw03.jpg :
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wpcf7_add_tag_generator() in /home/sorryk5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/modules/text.php on line 152

When I deactivated Contact Form 7, it worked fine. Anyone know why this would be happening?

I’m just trying to wrap my head around how to try to fix this weird bug and don’t know PHP or CSS. I have a problem when I tried to upload new images using NextGEN basic slideshow. The slideshow works fine (so far), but I can’t upload any new images. When I try, I get the error message that it’s conflicting somehow with the Contact Form 7 plugin and it just won’t upload the images. The Contact Form 7 plugin seems to work as well, but i just can’t upload any new images to my site.

If I understand Coccinelle Poitiers’ comment, I need to find the PHP file under the plugin Editor that’s called ngg-config.php and then change
equire_once( WP_LOAD_PATH . ‘wp-load.php’);

to:

require_once( WP_LOAD_PATH . ‘wp-admin/admin.php’);

Is that right? I’m worried about doing it because I don’t know CSS or PHP at all, but I would like to be able to update my NextGEN gallery and add some new images to it.

Has anyone found any other ways around this bug? Also, if I want to upload new images to my site now, does it make sense that this is my only option for the time being?
