    I am also looking for the solution to this. I have been playing with code all evening to try to hack it together, but the hard part is reloading lightbox (or prettyphoto) after the AJAX refreshes. You can trick nextgen into using the AJAX pagination if you choose ‘shutter’ as the effect but put custom code in its place.
