    Hi,
    I’m using NextGen plugin and have been greatly impressed by it so far.

    I’ve seen that it’s possible to change the number of columns using shortcode but it doesn’t seem to work for me.. I’m using version 1.7.2.

    Any thoughts appreciated.

    The shortcode I’m using is:

    [nggallery id=2 ngg_gal_Columns=4]

    Anyone out there that has had this issue?

    You need to add it as a Custom Field. I don’t know what the shortcode is.

    I’m using NextGen plugin and i made 3 albums but
    the problem is that all albums are in a column instead of a series.
    anyone how can come up with an ides to solve my problem.

    I am having the exact same problem as lepung.

    I specify four columns (or three) and I get one long column down the page broken into groups of four. It seems that each new thumbnail refuses to float left next to the previous one even though there is plenty of space for it. I’ve gone through the CSS and can’t see the problem. Would really appreciate some help on this.

    to solve the problem just add in themes styel.css

    #coreContent .ngg-albumoverview {
    clear: none;
    width: auto;
    }

    I’ve been also struggling with this. I have a gallery that gets all messy because of my captions which are kind of long and the page width is narrow, so I’ve been trying to define the amount of columns I want but I have no idea how to do this.

    This is how my gallery looks:

    Can anyone help?
