  • i accomplished the very same thing without any coding, i simply linked each gallery to a page – which is easily done on the Gallery > Manage Gallery > Gallery Settings page. it even allows you to take care of designating which page is the resulting gallery page’s parent (which obviously is necessary for the breadcrumbs to be meaningful)

Just choose the desired parent page from the Create new page drop-down menu, click the add page button and its done.

My only complaint with this method is you have to go navigate to Pages if it is going to use anything other than the default template (which i was) and also that if and when a gallery lies down multiple paths, the breadcrumbs can only ever lead it back to the one original link.

Hmmm, I tried this but it was really weird. If you link each gallery to a page, then it seems like the original galleries listing still links to the old gallery that isn’t a separate page with title. I don’t know if I am doing something wrong or what…

Can you explain your last paragraph again? I think it might be my problem but I’m having a hard time understanding what you mean. Do I need to select a different template or something?

    Thanks!

This solution does not work for me. If I do this, then when I go to the new page that is now linked to the gallery, the gallery doesn’t show up on that page. It seems like I have to put special gallery code on that page just to get the gallery to show up. That is too confusing for my client to do ??

Furthermore, in the listing of galleries, they don’t link to the pages, they just link to the actual gallery page that doesn’t show up in the breadcrumbs.

From seeing how this gallery works, it seems like the titles of the galleries aren’t stored in separate variables, is that true?

Hello, I’ve been working on this for hours. I don’t know how something so simple can be so difficult. There is no way it has to be this hard. All I need to know is how to access the gallery title. Can someone please respond? Doesn’t the creator of this plugin check the forum posts??

I also want to display the title of Album and Gallery both.

Currently, I have a separate page for each Album, title of that Album page appears when I click on Gallery thumbnail to open that Gallery. Nowhere, title given while creating the Gallery appears.

I want to be able to know in which Gallery and Album I am right now. Merely displaying Album name (that too coming from Page Title and not from Album’s Title in Nextgen Gallery) is not serving the purpose and is giving lots of trouble.

    Can someone help me here?

    Thanks.
