[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Moving NGGALLERY plugin to another directory or another WP installation

I am currently working a new design for my existing wordpress website located at https://www.myurl.com…
New design is being developed at https://www.myurl.com/new/
I will install everything at https://www.myurl.com/new/, add content, plugins (incl. NGGALLERY) and then after I am done I plan to move it to root (www.myurl.com).
Will NGGALLERY plugin survive this migration when I am done? Any tips and advices?
