[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Manually adding images (w/ title, description) to gallery

  • How does one normally script the import of content into NextGen?

    The background:
    I’ve got an static backup of an old gallery (actually, several albums with several galleries), and I want to populate NextGen with the content. I can easily parse my files and identify for each image the album name, gallery name, image title, and image description using Python or something similar. But what next?

    Is there a NextGen php function I can use to import a file on my server into the NextGen gallery as if I uploaded it through the upload interface? Should I be taking a different approach? How does one normally script the import of content into NextGen?
