[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Just on Column of albums?

    Forgive me if this has been talked to death before but I’ve looked for another thread that pertains to this issue but couldn’t find it.

    For some reason my albums are showing in just one column, not in a grid form like they are in every other site I’ve been too. But when I display using tags instead it displays fine. I was going to just use the tags, but I can’t use spaces and special characters in tags, so it won’t work as well for me.

    When you insert the albums/shortcode, you have to insert the grid view ??

    e.g.
    [album id=1 template=compact]

    Correct me if I’m wrong, but … I think I did that. What I have exactly is this:

    ----testing using album shortcode----
[album id=7 template=compact][album id=3 template=compact]

----testing using album tag shortcode----
[nggtags album=Team,reno]

    As you can see from the URL (see original post)The first group is in one column and the second group (tags) are side by side. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

    Ah! You are trying to display multiple albums…that might be tough.

    But what you are trying to do can be done. You need to put all your albums in one album. Or better still, instead of having all those albums, create corresponding galleries and put them in an album. Then when you inster the shortcode for your album with compact template, icons will appear in a grid.

    I am having the same issue as noted above.
    However, when I insert the compact shortcode (album)only one thumbnail shows up

    If I insert a gallery (multiple images)
    they show as a tall column instead of grid.
    The WP I am using is Novatorix.
    Can’t include a link to site as it is not live

    what I did was put them all in one album … but i remember feeling super silly, cause afterwards I realized I did something very stupid. But I can’t remember what it was. Sorry. But the all in one album helped … and I displayed as gallery, instead of album … i think. Sorry. I can’t be of much help. You can go to chinchedbistro.com and check out what I did.

    on the gallery page I did this:
    [album id=9 template=compact]

    in the album #9 I added all the different galleries.

    I think my problem was I didn’t understand the Galleries vs. Album and the difference between the two.
