[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] images align to left rather than columns

I have updated Next-Gen gallery and now all the images sit under each other on the left hand side rather than in columns, i have double checked the css from the previous installation and this latest one and everything looks the same.. i really need the images to appear in columns evenly
any ideas?
