• Hello,

I uploaded images both via the ftp upload and the individual image upload and both ways, it finds the image(s) but gets stuck on the “Create New Thumbnails” screen. I get a bar at 0% and the message “Running… Please wait” it doesn’t matter if I’m in IE or FF.

Please advise, I feel like I’m missing some additional program that Next Gen gallery relies on? The /gallery/ folder has full write access and here are my settings:

  • Ok here is what I did.
I could only upload 2 pics. After that it stopped working. I could select a pic but it wouldn’t even act like it was grabbing it. So I ftp’d the pics to a folder, “friends”. I couldn’t get NGG to find the new pic. Until I tried the following. Click on Gallery. Upload Pictures. Import Image Folder by default it is set to “wp-content/gallery/”. Type in the folder you want, in my case “friends”. It now looks like this, “wp-content/gallery/friends”. Click Import Folder at the bottom and it works.

    Hi,
I was having the same problem. I am with 1&1, and was frustrated that after uploading my pictures to NextGen, the Create New Thumbnails step got stuck at 0%. I did many google searches and found something that resolved my problem! Now NextGen is working fine:

Add this line of code at the end of the .htaccess file:

    AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
    AddHandler x-mapp-php5 .php

I don′t really know what it does, but it worked!

    This is our site:
    https://www.iglesiacristianabautista.com
    Still working on it!

I also added the imageflow plugin. Here is where you can find it:

    Hey,

Thank you ajmunoz. That worked perfectly.

Deactivating all the plug-ins worked for me.

I am also using 1&1 hosting.
NextGEN works flawlessly for over a year, through the version changes, etc. Thumbs generate fine in all my other sites with the same setup, only this new site suddenly stopped working.

After disabling all plug-ins I was able to single file upload, folder upload, scan folder for new images, etc – all working fine. Big relief, thanks for the advice in this post.
