[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Image sort not saving…images displaying in ID order only

I’ve a gallery with 12 images. I try using the manage gallery>sort gallery then “update sort order” then back to gallery and save changes, but the changes simply do not actually save, and the gallery displays the images in ID order rather than the order I want them to display. What can I do about this?
