  • I have duplicated the “gallery.php” file, but their is nothing to edit in the file to point it for the “ngg_sample1.css”.

    I agree, very frustrating. I downloaded the plug-in assuming the “carousel” was built in because of this page https://nextgen-gallery.com/templates/carousel/ , and have been searching the net to see what I did wrong that it’s not working. Now I see it’s added-on code that is not provided…

    NextGen looked really promising and I was excited to use the carousel on my new site, but I guess I’ll have to try another plug-in now.

    The carousel functionality definitely is built into NextGen, at least as of v1.4.3, which is the current version and only one I have tested it in, and it works exactly (and as easily) as described here: https://nextgen-gallery.com/templates/carousel/

    By the way, many thanks to Alex Rabe for his excellent plug-in(s), and for even attempting to provide free support in forums such as these!

    I had the same problem, ‘carousel’ was not working for me. I found ‘gallery-carousel.php’ in wp-content/nextgen-gallery/view/ so it was definately installed with nextGEN v1.4.3.

    After an hour or so of messing around and searching Google I found this post about file permissions. I changed permissions of gallery-carousel.php to 755 and now it works perfectly. ??

    @alexrabe
    Please post the templates soon. We are a lot of people who would appreciate it very much.
