[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] How do I stop NextGEN from renaming my photos?

  • I’m encountering two problems with NextGEN. First, when uploading pictures taken with my old Olympus camera, the name of the photo appears as OLYMPUS. Sometimes this doubles as the description while other times the description is left blank. Occasionally the name of the photo will appear lowercase and with underscores. For example, “Colorado Rocky Mountains” will appear as “colorado_rocky_mountains”. This is incredibly annoying as it requires me to go back and rename hundreds of photos by hand.

    Second, with some of my longer or bigger images, NextGEN just can’t create the thumbnail.

    Has anyone encountered any of these problems? Is there a way around this?
