[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] How Can I assign a NextGen Slideshow to eaczh page using the Admin Screens

Hello, I’m hoping someone can assist me…each page of my website has a masthead with a specific NextGen slideshow on it. Right now I’m calling them in manually by creating a new page template for each page and adding that slideshow’s ID…how can I give my client control of adding new pages herself and adding or changing the NextGen slideshow for each page? Ideally I don’t want a page template for each page, but rather, one page template and a place where she can select which NextGen slideshow goes with that page via that page’s admin screens.
I know it has to do with the functions.php page but I’m not sure how to get the Page’s admin screens to provide a way to select the proper slideshow that goes in that area.
Likewise, I am trying to learn how to provide a static featured image on each page’s masthead as well..each page will have a slideshow on the left and a featured image on the right and I want my client to have control in the admin screens for each page.
Can anyone give me an idea of how I need to go about this?
