[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Gallery will not display

I uploaded some pics. I inserted the tag [ nggallery id=x ] into my “Gallery” page. I also went to the “manage gallery” link and set page link to “gallery”. When I go to my web page I see know images. How come?
