• I’m having an issue that I haven’t seen discussed anywhere.

When I add a gallery to a page, the gallery appears after a huge blank space. The slideshow and imagebrowser work fine, but the gallery is what I want to use (of course), but not the way it’s showing up.

    Example page

The text ‘before gallery’ and ‘after gallery’ are just that – typed in with no extra returns with the gallery shortcode inbetween.

Thanks for any help that anyone might have.

  • I’m having the same exact problem and it’s driving me nuts. I have another site using the same version of WordPress and NextGen and it doesn’t have that problem.

Alex, any ideas at all?? The extra space occurs when inserting image list or a gallery (or any album). But only for the first insert. Any gallery or image list after the initial one at the top of the page is fine.

    Please help.

I think I’ve gotten close to figuring this out. Using Firebug, I discovered that if I stripped out the class, the images appeared nicely at the top of the page. Here is the code I’m talking about:

    <div id="ngg-gallery-2-49" class="ngg-galleryoverview">

The problem is, I can’t find the code to work with. Again,I need to delete the entire class from that div.

    Alex, any ideas?

    Hi,

I was lookin some Nextgen issues and see yours, i guess it could help you:

There is a huge gap between the gallery and the text ?

This is based on your theme and the gallery style sheet. Look into the NextGEN Gallery Style sheet and search for “clear:both;“. Delete all of them.”

Btw anyone can help with one question i have?. I’m trying to add a text below every thumbnail, text from Desc or any text wrote when I upload every image. Thx in advance.

Thank you leodrak! That worked just fine!

I remember seeing text below thumbnails one time while I was testing everything out. If I can remember how to do that, I’ll get back to you.

Thanks again for the help – you are a lifesaver!

Thanks Leodrak. Worked perfectly for me as well!
