i’m using the newest wordpress 3.4.1 and also the newest nextgen gallery plugin 1.9.5

when i try to upload pictures via the flash uploader i always get the following error ->

[13-Aug-2012 08:36:16] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_space_allowed() in /path/to/httpdocs/wp-includes/ms-functions.php on line 1473

the wordpress is a multisite install …

any help on how to fix this error would be more than awesome ??

  • Hi becki,

The quick fix would be to disable the preliminary upload check by NextGen.

    1. Go to Network Admin->Gallery->Network Settings
    2. UncheckEnable upload quota check:
    3. Click Update.
    4. Done. ??

    I hope this help. GB

Had same issue, also on multisite.

As a workaround I am using the “regular” file uploader (not the “Flash” uploader). Hoping this is a bug that will be fixed by WP or NG in hte next week or so…

    hi ccowell,

thanks for the tip. disabled the quota check until the bug is fixed

    yep, this helped ??

Great becki! I also like Strategerizer’s idea too for extra credit. ?? With a little bit of coding … disabling the flash uploader would ultimately be more compatible for iOS devices too. But your current setup should still provide both flash and non-flash uploading. I wouldn’t change a thing unless you like to code. ??

I got the same problem. Seems to be related only to multi-site installations. I followed @ccowell suggestion which helped.

Still I would like to use the quota check. So if there is an update fixing this problem that would be great!
