[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Fatal Error in rewrite.php

    Hi there,

    after an update my gallery doesn’t work anymore. Here’s the Error-Code:

    Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/lib/rewrite.php on line 52

    I’m using Next-Gen Gallery Version 1.7.4

    My Server Settings are:
    MySQL Version : 5.0.67-Max
    PHP Version : 4.4.9
    PHP Safe Mode : Off
    PHP Memory Limit : 32M
    PHP Max Upload Gr??e : 8M
    PHP Max Post Gr??e : 8M

    Maybe it depends on the PHP Version??? I don’t know what to do. Please help!

    Please upgrade to PHP 5

    Grmpf…I use NG because it was still working with PHP 4.x – my hoster will not upgrade his server, no chance, I would have to buy a new one.

    Have to downgrade NG then. I guess 1.7.3 is the last one still working.

    Hm, even 1.7.2. does not work anymore…which is the last one working with PHP 4.x?

    Seems the one to downgrade is WP.

    NG stops working with WP 3.1 and PHP 4.x, had to go back to 3.0.5.
